funny, but true
By me • May 28th, 2008 • Category: today's blog 365 postSomehow we’re still managing to get around even though it’s $4.29/gal in downtown Detroit. Although with the new job I’m only going through 1/4 a tank a week, max. How much does filling up your gas tank hurt???

It was $110 when I last filled up a week ago. Viva la 31-gallon tank!
I think it’s high time I started filling up around 1/2 tank, not 1/8 like I usually do.
To the tune of around $188 a month.
I’m spending about $45.00 a week on gas. It wouldn’t bother me so much if I actually ever went anywhere.
The idea of taking my mountain bike out of storage is sounding better every day.
Once I start back to school next week (and endure a 75 mile daily commute 5 days a week) I’ll spend between $250 - $300 to fill up my gas tank for the month.
Gotta love the South for some things - when I filled up today, I paid $3.72. And was happy about it. I’m so disgusted with myself.
Ha! I can beat all of you. Petrol here is $1.60+ a litre. That’s right, folks, we are looking at $6/gallon. It really, really hurts to fill my tank up.
For the truck, 150-250 a month, and the gay transformer, about 100 a month.
Filling up my tank is now a $60 + proposition. To take away some of the cost I’ve started commuting to work via bicycle, which is more fun than it sounds. And by the way congrats on the new job - if I’m right about what it is I think I applied for the same one:)
$45 a fill up, It beats the hell out ouf the $90 i would have been paying if i still drove my old truck. Driving this ford focus is about the only good thing my divorse got me.
