First of all, I really need to thank Stella and Teopea (ravelry link) properly - this week I received these wonderful things are part of the pay-it-forward exchange. I love them all, lots and lots. They really made my week.

The book is just charmingly written and so beautifully illustrated, I can’t wait until Amelia comes back and we can sit down and read it together. The note cards, so colorful and lively. But that Art Bar? I’ll admit it, that’s just the wrapper. It’s been a stressful week, and around here when the going gets tough, the tough grab themselves a bar of chocolate and another cup of coffee in the hopes of making the tough only mildly unbearable.

And then yesterday I was trying to tie up more loose ends and catch up on my blog reading (and avoid writing a mind numbingly boring piece of bullshit that has to be turned in on Wednesday) when I read that Tammy (yet another Raveler, we will take over the world someday) gave me a you “You Make My Day Award” and called me “a fabulous potty mouth”, which totally made my day. Add that to the award from Excellent Blog award from Miss Exposed, which I had a huge brain fart about and forgot to blog about, (because I’m a bit of a social idiot sometimes. And therefore should be flogged. Preferably by ripped, half naked men.) which just made me so very very happy. So my regulars - Binary Blonde, Annie, Stella, Jen, Simple Mindz, Beastmomma, Tammy, Exposed NYC - consider yourself not only excellent but know that you make my day….. ooops, and then there’s the memes from Binary Blonde, Jen, and Russian Mafia Babe that I’m working on, I swear. It’s just that I so often either find myself impulse or photo blogging that the post gets pushed further and further down the list.

So basically I’ve been feeling the blog love a LOT lately, and really dropping the ball in returning it. You guys, you’re making me all teary eyed. I promise to get better and stop acting like such a man. Really, I do.
