I see dead people……

By me • Jan 6th, 2008 • Category: today's blog 365 post, weird stuff that happens to me

I am a stat freak. Seriously, I check my site statistics at least 5 times a day. Why? Because I am a geek. And a very easily amused one at that. It never ceases to thrill me when someone new has found my page, and I’m even more geeked if they come back. I love my regulars, remember - in my mind you’re all drop-dead gorgeous poet laureates with abs of steel that save puppies, babies, and kittens but in your spare time have the good sense to read my nonsense. Sure you most likely use the stories I tell as a warning to your four year old that has already been accepted on full scholarship to Yale, but I’m all right with that. At least I’ve serving a purpose in this life. Anyway, yesterday there was a new IP address that viewed my page a few times so I, being the cyber-stalker wannabe that I am, looked it up.

Apparently my new target audience is the postmortem crowd. Which really surprises me because I had no idea that mausoleums even offered wi-fi. I think I may need that written into my will. And does anyone know - is that included in the interment, kinda like a 21st century eternal flame? Or do the surviving family members need to pay a monthly fee for it? If they don’t, and it gets cut off, do the dead rise from their graves and haunt the living? I sincerely hope so, because I would pay a large amount of money to see a crowd of corpses take on customer service at AT&T or Comcast.

  1. HAHA! I almost keeled over laughing at that one. Too funny! How freaking weird is that, too!? I need to get something that stalks my visitors. Any recommendations? I use WordPress, too.

Oh, also, you’ve been tagged! (Don’t kill me.) ;-)

  2. Perhaps one of the drop-dead gorgeous poet laureates you imagine, has simply dropped dead and is blogging from the beyond the grave, fuelled only by the need to comment and unrequited love?

Sounds like the plot of an interesting film, no?

  3. hahaha, hohoho, ow, it hurts to laugh so hard! now i want to track my ip address to see how accurate this thing is!

  4. too funny! Since I too, am a geek…I feel much better knowing that when I die - I can still get internet service…heehee
Wonder if it’s free? So, I bet you have tracked my addy too? How is that done?

  5. Holy cow, that made me laugh ridiculously loud. I personally love that you look up IP addresses - if I knew how - or if I even could - I totally would. Lots. It’s bad enough I check email all the time. Good thing I can do it from the beyond now. I won’t feel so much pressure.
