sshhhh…
By me • Dec 21st, 2007 • Category: family, holidaysDon’t tell anyone but I am currently blogging from a top-secret undisclosed location in Grand Rapids. I’m home with my family until Christmas, and while they are wonderful, funny, amazing people, they are driving me absolutely batshit crazy. I needed to get out and have some alone time or I would crack. And it would be incredibly ugly. Even though I’m sitting next to two women very loudly debating which is the best dollar store in the city to buy gift boxes from (the adjective “classy” was used more than once) this is the quietest environment I’ve been in in over 48 hours. That, combined with a decent bowl of french onion soup, makes me very happy and ready to brave the crowds and finish my holiday shopping. Which, along with presents for my nieces and brother-in-law, includes a couple bottles of wine and some chocolate for myself.
I can’t stay out too long though, I need to be home this evening to rescue the boys from Little Miss Mullet (Amelia decided to give herself a haircut just in time for the holidays.)

Final grades still aren’t posted, and I forgot to pack my bite guard, so I’m in a little bit of pain right now and really don’t want to talk about it (I’m pretty bad company at the moment, just take my word for it.) But wherever you are in the world, if you hear an enormous sigh of relief anytime in the next 24 hours, it’ll most likely be from me.

Classy gift boxes from dollar stores. Your family sounds like my kind of people. -grin-
Oye! I hate shopping. The crowds are ridiculous! I am so glad I am all done!
