he wears it well

Marty is modeling the begining of Tubey. I’m finding tiny bits of time to do the miles of stockinette for the top, which is actually wonderfully mind-numbingly soothing right now. But I’m having second thoughts about the project as a whole though. I haven’t worked out for the last three weeks, thanks to the same painful issues that landed me in the ER earlier this year, so I’m not as comfortable making something tight anymore. I just think I’m going to be too self concious to actually wear it.
I also knew going into the project that Wool-ease wasn’t exactly the best yarn for it. But I’m poor, and it’s cheap. And it comes in so many colors. I had most of it in my stash already! It’s also available locally from many different sources. So NaKniSweMo only cost me $10 to get the base color and a trip to a local mega-craft store. Ever since I first saw it I really wanted to make it as my first sweater so I’m continuing, if only as a practice in patience and perseverance. Who knows, maybe I’ll actually like it once it’s done? And if I don’t, we still now all know that Marty looks great in this color.

He does *indeed* wear it well…great pictures! Tubey is also my first sweater, and while I love the construction, I’m finding that I get distracted with SO! MANY! OTHER! things. So I’ve been working on it now for…oh…6 months or so…
