time to start surfing again

Damn, I found yet another thing to help me procrastinate. I started up the computer this morning with the idea that I would have all my homework for tomorrow done no later than 3 this afternoon, leaving me plenty of time to run some errands and go to a meeting at school tonight.

But then I found Stumble Upon.

I might be preaching to the choir or joining the game a little late, but damn, this is better than sliced bread. If you’re like me, someone who can knit, do homework, watch TV, and web surf all at the same time you tend to get very blase about what’s out there. You’re pretty sure you’ve seen it all, or at least everything you don’t have to supply a credit card number to see. But trust me, you haven’t. Go to the website. Sign up, click off your preferences, a little plugin gets installed on your browser (unfortunately it doesn’t work for Safari yet, but it does work for Firefox on a Mac) and whenever you click it something cool shows up. Something you never would have found yourself.

You don’t believe me? In the last hour this is a sampling of what I’ve seen:

See? Cool stuff. At least I think so. Your list might vary from mine, but that’s the great thing about it, you input your interests and as you rate a page with a like or don’t like it intuitively gets to know your preferences. It’s what every internet cynic needs. You can waste even MORE time surfing the web finding stuff (you know who you are.) Go on, sign up, you know you want to.

So, yeah, that 3 pm deadline might not happen. Not only am I easily distracted by all the new stuff I’m finding, but everytime I sit down to write this happens

I dare you to not want to pet his tummy.

And stop staring at my boobs.
