actual fiber content

into this

It’s been almost six months since I spun anything. I wasn’t intentionally avoiding it. Life just got busy with multiple jobs, moving a couple of times, healing a broken heart, and going back to school. The wheel and fibers were just packed away with my stash with the intention of being dragged out once things calmed down. But I don’t think life ever really does calm down, does it?
I’d forgotten how soothing the process is - drafting the fibers, the hypnotic spinning of the wheel, and just the simple repetitive movement of your hands puts you into this very relaxed zen-like trance. At least it does to me. I’m definitely not a perfect spinner, and I have no intention of being one. That just puts too much worry into it and defeats the whole purpose of spinning for me. But my hands are pretty smart, so out of this 4oz. of Targhee I’m thinking I’m going to get some pretty respectable navajo-plied sock yarn. I’m in love with the color combination - roses for you. It will make some great knees socks. And they’re going to be all mine. Once they’re finished - I’m guessing sometime in 2012.
