rose colored progress

Just in case you may have been thinking I’ve given up on my sock pal’s socks completely I present you with this progress shot:

I haven’t blogged about them because I’ve been doing a few rows here and there and was always waiting to have something significant to show you. Then on Friday I realized that I had the toe almost done. (and realized that counting change for customers at a garage sale can completely throw your mind out of it’s grafting zen) After I shot this I started working on the second one and now I’m down to the heel already. So it looks like I’ll be making the Aug. 7th shipping deadline without a problem. I really don’t know why I doubted myself. After all, I should know by now that it’s just how I work. I’m the person who waited until three weeks before it was due to start her graduate thesis project. It’s not that I’m not working on it at all in the weeks preceding the project due date, I just spend a lot of time figuring out every step of the project in my mind before I pick up anything so that once the materials are in my hands it’s like I’m on auto pilot.
