dinner with the family
By me • Jul 1st, 2007 • Category: family, weird stuff that happens to meLast night my family and I had dinner at a friend’s house, followed by games in the man cave (I kicked Trina’s ass 36 to 10 in air hockey), and illegal fireworks after the sun went down. It was a fun night and as usual Amelia provided the entertainment. She’s becoming very good at stringing together short sentences and last night as we were eating, she stopped, looked at me and said
“I eat Sis!”
“No, Amelia, you’re eating WITH Sis”
“I eat Sis!”
“No, you’re eating WITH Sis. It’s been a very long time since anyone’s actually eaten Sis.”
She considered this for a few seconds, cocked her head, gave me a look that bordered on pity, and said “Yeah.”
