miracles really do happen

One of the blogs I read regularly is Yarn-a-Go-Go. As with all the blogs I read I get emotionally attached to these people, like they’re the long lost friends I’ve just never met or spoken to. I rarely leave comments, not because I don’t care, but because I’m just a lurker with low self-esteem. I’ve followed Rachael through a move, a couple of weddings, a new dog, and the loss of her beloved Digit (after reading that post I went home and hugged my boys extra hard in his honor.) And then this week I found out that sometimes in life the ending really is happy, Digit is back!!!!!!!! He’s been gone for four months and thought to be dead, but he’s finally home, and while it’s beyond wonderful for Rachael and Lala that he is back, unfortunately Digit is terribly sick. Please go over to her site, read about this amazing cat and his mom, and consider buying a raffle ticket to help defray the cost of his vet bills. And then stop thinking about it and just buy one (or two, or three, or four), it’s all through Paypal, and it’ll help give poor Digit a chance. And help a couple of grateful people out. Tell all of your friends that they need to go see her too (it’s what all the cool kids are doing.) And you never know, you could win one of many gorgeous sweaters knit by none other than Rachael herself!
