I’m #1!!!
By me • Oct 4th, 2006 • Category: miscLately I’ve noticed a lot of traffic to my blog from Yahoo for the search of “stereotypical woman” , so I checked and wouldn’t you know it - my blog pops up as the #1 search result. Sadly I’m only #20 on Google, right behind Spinster: An evolving stereotype. But, still, wow, I feel ever-so-slightly popular-

This amazes me - because when I came up with the name for the blog I was just looking for something bland and non-descript. I didn’t know what I’d be posting and didn’t want to pigeon hole myself into a weird little niche, I figured it would just be a way to keep in contact with busy friends, and it was basically just meant to be an online outlet for a real-life introvert. But being the person that I am I didn’t want to disappoint the random lurkers that might stop by with false advertising in the title. I hate getting comments from someone who was searching for something in particular and was disappointed that they didn’t find anything of depth when they got to my page. I try to make it amusing, but anything I put up here sure as hell isn’t insightful or profound.
However, I have a feeling I’m still disappointing the random lurkers - because most of the hits happen late at night, and I’m pretty sure it’s guys looking for photographic busty blondes documenting a far more active social and sex life than I have. Intrigued that their search could be so easy, they click on my page and instead they get a whole lot of cat and baby content and a loss of their erection. Which would be why none of them ever come back. If you are one of those guys, I’m sorry to disappoint, but you can’t say I didn’t at least send you here.
