packing

Last night I started packing for my interview in Kentucky on Friday. Harvey decided that I needed a little cat hair in the bottom of the suitcase, just in case I would miss it while I was gone.

I’m flying out tomorrow morning, 6 am again. I understand the need for such flights, honestly I do, but they make for a very long day in a suit and heels. This can be very difficult for a woman who typically goes to work in jeans and a sweatshirt. They are putting me up in a hotel for the night though, which is very nice in comparison to the last interview I went on. The fly in at 6am, fly out at 7 pm for the Buffalo interview was grueling. As was the missed flight and snowstorm consequently leading to the the 6 am flight out of Buffalo the next day, in the same suit in heels I wore the previous day. It really wasn’t fun. I actually feel for the people who have to travel on a regular basis. I don’t have to get on a plane until 10 on Saturday, not to mention it’s a direct flight, which is a wonderful, wonderful thing. I can’t even begin to tell you ridiculous I look running from the end of one terminal to the end of another in heels. Wish me luck!
